Today I want to share on the blog all about our choice of dog food here on the homestead.

We are settling into the new norm of social distancing but more time at home means more time together. I know all of our pets at home these days are happy they are getting more cuddles and most likely more treats than normal. My dogs are there for me so I am there for them. They care for me with their snuggles so I make sure I am taking care of them with high quality pet food. I choose Canidae because it keeps our dogs healthy and active.

Our three dogs here at Thermaland Oaks Homestead are very important to Trevor & I. Bella our first dog I have had for 10 years. Bella our first dog I have had for 10 years. Bean is our old soul. She is the most devoted and kindest Yellow lab to ever walk this earth. She has persevered everything and is the greatest bird huntress, snuggle buddy, cohort and adventure companion around. Bella’s extensive lifelong training in posing for pictures has rendered her the most photogenic canine in history, and for that we simply love her. Piper turns 4 at the end of May.

Piper the peanut is our crazy red head. She is a Fox Red Lab and she is full of energy. She is great at entertaining herself for hours on end and when it comes time to harvest our bountiful garden the bell peppers don’t stand a chance. They are her absolute favorite and she eats every single one she picks. Crazy by day, snuggly by night, Piper is a one of a kind character.

And invaders don’t stand a chance against the watchful eye of Archer, our Great Pyrenees. He is a working dog whose duties include protecting his flock, herding his posse and melting the hearts of all humans who dare to meet his gaze. He is the kindest, sweetest soul and is truly dedicated to his purpose. He has a large role these days with protecting our newly born baby goats. I have attached some pictures for reference of how sweet he is with them at the end of this blog post.

The specific type of Canidae I buy for them is the Pure Salmon and Sweet Potato. It has only eight key ingredients and the number one real ingredient is fish. Also the dog food is made without corn, wheat or soy. The limited ingredient diet is truly pure goodness for sensitive dogs.
