One of the most asked questions I get on Instagram messages is what color we used to paint our interior & exterior of our farmhouse. Here is it the The Absolute Best Farmhouse Paint Color!
The start of the new year has always been the best for me. I just love starting with a clean slate. With the beginning of 2020, Trevor & I did some deep cleaning. The mixture of construction and farm life is not always, ok NEVER, clean. That is why I love our exterior white farmhouse so much. The view of our modern farmhouse feels so clean to me, especially with the white board and batten. My same favorite paint color will be extended into the phase 2 addition.
This is SO EXCITING! There is a light at the end of the messy farmhouse tunnel. The exterior of our phase 2 farmhouse just was painted. I could not be more excited that we have extended our WHITE farmhouse exterior. The wood soffits and black window trim make for a beautiful combination in my world. The blend of colors and textures really adds a dynamic element to our home. Trevor did an amazing job, and I linked the painting tools he used below. The air sprayer is a must have if you are painting exteriors, and he even used it for the interior!

These are the exact products used to paint the interior and exterior of your modern farmhouse.
This is what the exterior of our phase two looks like when we caulked all the batts on the exterior. We placed our phase 1 front door to the the next phase. We will be painting the red exterior black to match the two side windows. We took a quick picture outside to remember how far we have come and to show Frankie when she is older how small she was when we were building her nursery.
This is the exterior painted !! We still have our little Christmas wreath that I made up on the porch and a lot of construction stuff put away from if it rained that evening. It is so exciting to see the progress of our home taking shape. There are no windows beside the two adjacent to the front
There are soo many whites to choose from I never knew until we painted phase 1. We built our chicken coop at the same time and we tested the exterior of the paint we ended up choosing on our coop. We figured it was easier to repaint that than the whole house! In different lights and different times of day all whites look different. Some are more blue, pink tinted and grey. We have a red dirt here and we needed a color that works well off of that. If you are interested read the blog post on our go to white farmhouse paint color!
What are your favorite colors to use on your house? Let me know I have some more painting to do.
