We have partnered with POLYWOOD again and got this amazing fire pit table and these super comfy Adirondack chairs! Paired with a projector screen, it’s the perfect setup for an outdoor movie night and is the perfect addition to our garden. Check out how it came together.
What is the difference between a fire pit and a fire pit table?
Roasting marshmallows for s’mores used to be reserved for camping trips. However, now that more people are turning their homes into spaces that they don’t need a vacation from, outdoor fire stations are becoming all the rage. But what is the difference between a fire pit and a fire pit table?
Well, the answer is simple! A fire pit is a hole that’s dug into the ground, usually with a barrier of rocks, concrete, or bricks around it, and the fire is created inside. You typically see these types of firepits at campsites or beaches. The idea with these fire pits is that you would just dump dirt on the fire to put it out and would scoop out the old, dry ashes before a new fire. These are definitely safe and efficient for places like campsites to maintain when there may be many people using the pit each year.
For our space, we preferred a fire pit table. These are typically powered by propane and can be decorative as well as functional. Our POLYWOOD fire pit table comes with a beautiful display for the flames. Cased in glass on all four sides and filled with beautiful blue glass, it is definitely mesmerizing to look at!
Our fire pit table is propane powered just like a gas grill. To ignite it, you would simply turn on the gas and ignite it. This makes it really easy to start the fire right up without needing to chop any wood, and it also makes for an easy clean up!
If the fire is turned up high on the fire pit table, and you are seated fairly close to the table, you are definitely going to feel the warmth. We find that the POLYWOOD Adirondack chairs fit so perfectly with this fire pit table, and position you perfectly in relation to the fire. Since we also plan to stay out there for long enough to watch a movie, we want to make sure we are comfortable. Just in case it’s still chilly, we also got these warm and cozy throw blankets.
This POLYWOOD fire pit table fits perfectly in our garden set up. If you’re coming down from the house, you’ll head down the stone pathway, in through the deer-proof fence, and there it is! The projector screen is set up in front of the rest of the garden and placed perfectly for movie nights!
It’s Frankie’s birthday soon and we are really excited to be hosting a movie theater-themed birthday party. We are going to have popcorn and concessions and the works!
When you are sitting at the fire pit table looking at the screen, to the right is our pumpkin patch that is in full bloom right now! To the left of the screen is the fence that leads down into the rest of the garden. When you come down the stairs, you pass our beautiful trellis that is now fitted with lights which make it so beautiful in the nighttime. Passed that is our raised garden beds that are also in full bloom with fall veggies. Our luxury garden is really coming together, and it won’t be long before we are sleeping out here!
This set up goes perfectly with the other POLYWOOD Outdoor Furniture that we have set up around our pond!
