Holiday season is here!! And so are holiday wishlist guides. This is one that I have been asked to write and I am so excited to share. Here is my Holiday Wishlist with Gardener’s Supply Company!
This post is sponsored by Gardener’s Supply Company. I may have received compensation for this article, but all opinions are 100% my own. I only promote products I have used and love myself!
One of the projects Trevor & I have been wanting to accomplish on our to do list is planting a beautiful line of trees & roses by our barn. The fall is a perfect time to plant because of all of the rain and softened ground. September through November is the ideal time for tree planting because it allows the roots to become established before the ground freezes and winter sets in. However, it is highly recommended that you do not continue planting trees too late into the fall because this can have a negative impact on plant health. Perfect time to get planting!
Today I am sharing what items we used from Gardener’s Supply Company and everything I am adding to my Christmas wishlist for the holidays. I get asked a lot what we use while gardening I have rounded up the best list!
Create an (edible!) entrance like no other. Try cukes on the side wings, greens underneath, beans on one side of the tall arch, and peas or squash on the other. Or go with something sweet-smelling and dramatic like climbing roses, clematis, or morning glories. The possibilities are endless! The grid spacing is perfect for most fruiting vine crops and the sturdy steel construction won’t bend or buckle under an abundance of fruit.
This Vermont-made SunLite® Garden features our revolutionary LED lighting technology, creating the new gold standard for seed starting and indoor gardening. You’ll be amazed at how well your plants grow as they bask in the glow of these specialized LEDs. The sleek and rugged frame holds three light fixtures that you can easily raise and lower to the perfect height for plants.
Go ahead and fill your garden trug to the brim! Use it to bring compost or mulch out to your veggie beds, to gather weeds or pruning debris, you could even haul groceries from the car! Easy-roll, durable wheels handle most types of terrain. An angled base and handle keep your loaded trug level as you go.
Slice through non-woody stems quickly and easily with these sharp shears. Comfortable, non-slip handles aid against hand and wrist fatigue. And with a bright, bold pink color, they’re easy to spot among your other gardening tools.
Prune like a professional with the Martha Stewart Japanese Garden Secateurs. Thanks to its durable cutting blades made from the finest quality Japanese stainless steel, your garden and flower arrangements will never look better, and unruly plants will be a thing of the past. Perfect for cutting twigs, small plants, medium-sized stems and flowers, these essential secateurs are expertly crafted and come with a holster and secure latch for safe and convenient storage.
As a material, galvanized steel is authentic and evocative — of the once-ubiquitous local hardware store, of simpler times, farms, fields, and family. Use this cachepot to hide an unremarkable planter, gather your harvest in the garden, invite guests to a fresh towel in the bathroom, or corral potatoes in the kitchen. Solid bottom, D-ring metal handles. Humble and handcrafted, its beautiful simplicity fits innumerable uses. No drainage hole: best used indoors or in a protected outdoor area.
This five-ring bamboo basket is an attractive and practical way to store your root vegetables — and bound to stay in your family for generations! Built to last, each 5-ring basket is beautifully constructed: the thick bamboo walls mitigate dramatic shifts in temperature and the slatted floors allow for ample airflow. Keep it on the counter for frequently used veggies, or stack up to three additional baskets (available separately) to make a truly unique storage tower. A custom rolling base (also available separately) makes it mobile.
Some arches are overly ornate showpieces, not well-suited to supporting vines or climbing roses. This one retains the classic lines and heirloom elegance of Tudor arches, but with a simpler, understated design that provides practical support for climbing plants. Open 4″ lattice gives roses, clematis and morning glories plenty of places to vine and twine. Sturdy enough for wisteria too! Use solo as a statement piece, or line up multiple arches to create a flower-covered allee.
Working in the garden is a whole lot easier with a Gardener’s Supply Garden Kneeler. You can use your arm strength to lower yourself for weeding or planting, and then push yourself up again without straining knees or back. Flip the kneeler over and it becomes a convenient bench. Frame is rugged and sturdy with locking legs, and folds flat for storage. Weighs just 8 pounds, so it’s easy to carry.
Designed to fit a woman’s narrower hand, this is a great glove when you’re tackling thorny jobs. Cotton twill with synthetic leather palm, doubly reinforced and thumb pointer finger tip, and extra long cuffs to arm you against scratches, insect bites, and burning sun. A touch of spandex gives the cotton flexibility and comfort. Machine wash in cold water and air dry.
Thanks to its center-mounted wheels, this rugged wheelbarrow is stable and easy to maneuver, even when hauling loads up to 300 lbs. Its unique design allows the front to tip all the way to the ground while the wheels stay put; that means you can scoop heavy stones or logs into the cart instead of lifting them. The polyethylene “tub” is great for mixing wet soil or cement, will never rust, and rinses clean in a jiffy. Choice of Black or Red.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and you start planting a tree or two if you have been interested!
Hugs, Christina & the farm ❤️
